These are a pair of very lightly used E-Type intake manifolds. The original porcelin coating is 99.9% intact, although there is a very small amount of crazing in a few areas. There is rust on the inner surfaces as you would expect from old cast iron. The outlet flanges, apart from surface rust, look perfect, as do the stud holes. The inlet flanges show some very slight porcelin damage around the mounting holes, consistent with having once been installed. Until noticing that, I actually believed they might have been New Old Stock.

I can only speculate that perhaps the proud owner of a shiny new E-Type decided not long into his ownership to swap these out for some headers. These came off and went on the shelf, and 50+ years later found their way to VJP. If you value originality more than cosmetic perfection, these might be for you.
